About Me
Matthew is a Reiki Practitioner of the Usui Reiki Shiki Ryoho Tradition. He received his training and Attunements by Reiki Master/ Teacher Sonya Watkins at Journey To Wholeness Center. Since a young age as a highly empathic child he always felt he was meant to help bring comfort, healing, and peace and guidance to people as well as animals, he felt his soul was being called to be a healer and was meant to impact the lives of others by guiding them through hard times with unconditional love & support. He always seemed to know he was able to emit some form of healing energy from the palms of his hands, starting his career devoting his life to saving and caring for animals at a local Animal Shelter back in September of 2011, in his later years seeking growth in the field he’s most passionate for. He began working as a Veterinarian's Assistant during Emergency Hours for a Animal Hospital/Physical Rehab/ Boarding Facility. Crossing paths with a former Co-worker who was a Reiki Practitioner as well knew Matthew would make an incredible Reiki Practitioner as she stated “with his compassion and calming nature and his love helping others and for the care and delicate handling with animals of all temperaments he would be a natural”. From that moment he knew his life mission was to be of service to others and bring peace, balance and relaxation to everyday life stresses or just simply to enjoy the relaxing calming effects of Reiki.

Remote healing can be a good option for a session being needed from a distance, for example, Anxiety Attacks/Grieving/ Requesting Distance Reiki for a loved one near or far. Other than the obvious reason – the person or pet requesting the healing is not in the same geographical area as the practitioner – remote healing can be a good option for animals who are skittish about being with strangers or too hyper to sit still. For humans with busy schedules, distant sessions allow them to benefit from the energy without having to make time to drive to and from the session. Remote treatments are just as effective as in-person treatments and can be preferable to hands-on treatments in some instances. Distance treatments are also quick to schedule: in emergency situations, I can usually offer a distance treatment the same day!
Reiki was rediscovered in the mid 1900’s by a man of Buddhist faith Mikao Usui The true history of Reiki has no documented origin and was discovered in Sanskrit Sutras Deriving from Buddhist roots, it is not a religious practice, but a spiritual one that anyone of any faith or background can practice or receive even plants and animals for they are more receptive to receiving Reiki.
Reiki – Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy
It is Universal Life Force Energy. The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words. Rei – Universal Ki- Life Force Energy A form of Spiritual Practice, used as a complementary therapy for the treatment of mental, physical, emotional and spiritual ailments. Reiki works under the belief that we’re all made up of moving life force energy. This energy can be reawakened or moved by tapping into our Higher self by pinpointing imbalanced Chakras or blockages causing regions of pain & discomfort The Main Chakra Systems of humans and animals are the same: Crown ( The Head ) Third-Eye ( Pineal Gland ) Throat Heart Solar Sacral Root ( Base of the Spine)
Many people today prefer Holistic Practices because little risk is involved. Unlike medications, Reiki will not make you or your pet ill unlike some side effects of surgery or treatment, the receiver will not be at risk of long term adverse effects or dangerous infections. You can expect to see gradual changes in overall health and well being by tuning into ourselves and the body’s natural healing system, resulting in a more peaceful, relaxed, comfortable, empowered state of mind bringing clarity and balance into our lives. Depending on how deep the trauma or serious or more chronic ailment interfering with your life treatment packages are offered to help you empower yourself to change what is bringing displease in you or your pet’s life and health.
Reiki is the process of acknowledging the body by simple, gentle placement of hands on different Chakra points and focusing the mind on positivity and peacefulness. Today, more and more veterinarians are adding Reiki to what they can offer to patients. Reiki seeks to treat the whole body mentally physically, spiritually, and emotionally and is considered a holistic practice. Reiki can be practiced anywhere and can be found in select Holistic Practices for mind and well being as well as Holistic Veterinarians and is received by a Professionally Certified Reiki Practitioner.
There are many reasons for animals that show aggression, growling, snarling, Hissing, straining at the leash, and many methods, such as a calm and consistent program of socialization, have been shown to prevent and also heal this problem. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “more than 4.5 million people are bitten by dogs each year, and 20% of these bites are serious enough to require medical attention. First and foremost, education is a wonderful way to prevent these bites before they happen: children should be educated from an early age about proper behavior around dogs and dog safety.
